Top 3 best and worst airlines

Eventually it had to write this post as what’s a travel life blog without a personal view on airlines, right? I never calculated how many miles I flew or how many hours I spent on board of an aircraft but once I sat in the cockpit. It was the most amazing experience ever. During a stopover in Turkey when the plane was parking at the gate the nice Italian pilot let me sit in his seat and explained some of the buttons. Man… best day ever 😀

Bella Italia!

Italy is a very dangerous country. Yes, it is! The food is so great and amazingly delicious that gaining 5 kilos after a two-week stay is more than guaranteed. Hence dangerous as it might cause serious damage to the freshly trained six pack 😛 Although a visit to Italy is worth every gained kilogram. For that reason, I can’ wait for my skiing trip to Italy in December!

Before you go

It’s nearly travel time again. In three weeks I’m going scuba diving to Cabo Verde which means I should start preparing for the trip… yeah not yet. I don’t procrastinate, only I still have an ocean of time between now and the 10th of September. It wasn’t always this way. Couple of years back I had different pre-travel habits than now. However, some pre-travel habits have remained unchanged since 1999.

Top 5 best and worst airports

Airports are like Marmite. You either love it or hate it. Regardless, airports are fascinating places. They are like cities within cities and the way they operate… mind blowing. Thought that I’ll share with you my top 5 of the best and worst airports I’ve been to.

Look after your inner child

When I was 10 years old, I thought that people in the age of 30+ are serious, well established and do grown up stuff like going to work or driving a car. Man, little did I know about people in their 30ties by that time. Now I’m 35 myself and sometimes I feel like 7 or 16. Although I do the grown-up stuff like going to work or driving a car, I put all the effort in to keep my inner child alive. Otherwise, life would be so boring.

Public transportation adventures

Today is an important day as I’m organising a diving slideshow and it has been some time since I last spoke in public… all be fine! For those of you who are not in Kraków and are not able to make it, I will post a summary with videos coming Sunday. In the meantime I will share some cool public transportation stories. Yes, public transport can also be exciting 😀

Tops and flops – food

Last time I wrote about places to god for food and drink in Krakow and today I’ll share some memories regarding the best and worst food I’ve ever had on my travels. There will be a mouth-watering, juicy and tender steak, amazing seafood but also some smelly food which in Asia is a delicacy but not that hugely appreciated by western taste buds, plus a four-time disappointment.

Rent a car

Lately my friend AP asked me for destination tips for solo travellers, condition passport free travel. I recommended Sicily as there is stuff to see, nice beaches, good food and fabulous wine. Told her that the best way to see the island is to rent a car. She was like aaahhh I’m a bit of a cheapskate to rent a car but think it’s more convenient than wasting time on busses. She had a point.
