Bella Italia!

Italy is a very dangerous country. Yes, it is! The food is so great and amazingly delicious that gaining 5 kilos after a two-week stay is more than guaranteed. Hence dangerous as it might cause serious damage to the freshly trained six pack 😛 Although a visit to Italy is worth every gained kilogram. For that reason, I can’ wait for my skiing trip to Italy in December!

Let’s do some sports

Sport is good for you. So, they say… It’s true. Sport is good and done in the right way, it can be very much fun. Injuries can happen, that’s one of the risks while doing sports but hey we are taking risks every day by leaving the house for example. 2021 has been so far one of the most intensive sports years for me. Don’t know why, I probably needed to release some steam 😉

Freedom

Do you remember the movie Braveheart? If so, I bet you remember the scene where William Wallace makes the speech before the big battle? He finishes the speech with “you can never take our freedom”. I’m not going to debate if in the modern world we are truly free or not as that is somehow pointless. I’ll debate the freedom that we are giving up sometimes, and the ones who mostly give it up are women.

Look after your inner child

When I was 10 years old, I thought that people in the age of 30+ are serious, well established and do grown up stuff like going to work or driving a car. Man, little did I know about people in their 30ties by that time. Now I’m 35 myself and sometimes I feel like 7 or 16. Although I do the grown-up stuff like going to work or driving a car, I put all the effort in to keep my inner child alive. Otherwise, life would be so boring.

A happily ever after

Last week my friend broke up with her boyfriend after six years of being together. There were marriage and happily ever after plans but didn’t work out. Now my friend constantly hears: oh you wasted six years of your life and now you have to start from scratch. If you ask me, it is better to split after six years than after sixteen or sixty and find happiness somewhere else rather than suffer in an unhappy relationship. Sooo… what does a happily ever after look like?

Manage Time

I don’t have time to…  do something, read a book, go to the gym, travel etc.  Not having time is the most common excuse if we don’t want to or can’t do something. Bullshit, there is always time and if you don’t have time, find it. I’m not a fan of wasting time, procrastination or pushing stuff forever. Can share with you some tips and tricks on how to manage time 😉

What do travellers do when they don’t travel?

They go to work to earn money they can spend on travel – is the simple answer. Most of the time they spend fantasising about countries they want to visit or activities they want to do during travel, hence they are more motivated to go to office and do a good job. At least I am 😀 Every time I come back from an adventure I keep my mind occupied with travel plans, nice memories from the last trip, my hobbies and also exploring the city I live in. Thing is I also really like my everyday job so going to work is not an inconvenience, it’s spending quality time developing new skills working with fabulous people and to be honest enjoying what I do. Soooo the time between one trip and another is a different type of adventure.

Perspective Changing Moments

Have you ever experienced a point in life where everything in and around you falls apart and every door you knock on trying to open it, is closed? Yep, and you just stand there scratching your head asking yourself WTF? After all your plans, perspectives, thoughts turn into rubble you stand in the middle of it all buck naked and don’t know what to do?

That’s not a meme downloaded from the internet. True picture taken in Repulse Bay in Hong Kong

Eventually you start picking up the pieces to build something new out of it and it turns out the new thing is better by miles than the old one. Normally you would refer to those situations as life changing moments, I prefer to call them perspective changing moments. So far I’ve encountered two such moments, where the universe or karma or whatever you might call it was determined to teach me a lesson.
