Christmas Vacation 2021
It’s time… time to close the company laptop and the apartment door to disappear for three weeks. As I’m not a family person, each year I go on a long vacation during Christmas and New Year. Usually, it was a warm and exotic place. This year it’s exactly the opposite.

Yes another scuba diving post 😛 After coming back from my last diving trip I was thinking about all those places where I dove and decided to make a ranking of the top 5 best dive sites I’ve visited.

Today is the day of the mid-autumn festival. It’s the second most important holiday after the Chinese New Year. It falls on the 15th day of the 8th month of the Chinese lunar calendar on a full moon night. During the festivities people celebrate the moon, give thanks for the harvest and eat mooncakes. Cabo Verde is not only beach and desert, but there are also many interesting places on the island. Also, when it comes to diving. I didn’t expect much from diving here – caverns and wrecks but after two diving days I’m seriously impressed. Cabo Verde in my country’s ranking is very close to reaching the top 10.

Many travelers and adventurers demonize travel agencies and ready-made vacation packages. Well, I do agree with that as why should you pay extra for a ready sightseeing trip to Cambodia when you can organize it yourself for much cheaper. However!!! For some destinations it’s much more convenient to go to the travel agency and buy holiday packages.

If you recollect the song from David Guetta and Kid Cudi – Memories it starts with: All the crazy shit I did tonight, those will be the best memories. If I change tonight for this summer, it will perfectly describe my summer.

Eventually it had to write this post as what’s a travel life blog without a personal view on airlines, right? I never calculated how many miles I flew or how many hours I spent on board of an aircraft but once I sat in the cockpit. It was the most amazing experience ever. During a stopover in Turkey when the plane was parking at the gate the nice Italian pilot let me sit in his seat and explained some of the buttons. Man… best day ever 😀
