Look after your inner child

When I was 10 years old, I thought that people in the age of 30+ are serious, well established and do grown up stuff like going to work or driving a car. Man, little did I know about people in their 30ties by that time. Now I’m 35 myself and sometimes I feel like 7 or 16. Although I do the grown-up stuff like going to work or driving a car, I put all the effort in to keep my inner child alive. Otherwise, life would be so boring.

Today is an important day as I’m organising a diving slideshow and it has been some time since I last spoke in public… all be fine! Tops and flops – food

Last time I wrote about places to god for food and drink in Krakow and today I’ll share some memories regarding the best and worst food I’ve ever had on my travels. There will be a mouth-watering, juicy and tender steak, amazing seafood but also some smelly food which in Asia is a delicacy but not that hugely appreciated by western taste buds, plus a four-time disappointment.

A happily ever after

Last week my friend broke up with her boyfriend after six years of being together. There were marriage and happily ever after plans but didn’t work out. Now my friend constantly hears: oh you wasted six years of your life and now you have to start from scratch. If you ask me, it is better to split after six years than after sixteen or sixty and find happiness somewhere else rather than suffer in an unhappy relationship. Sooo… what does a happily ever after look like?

Euro Finale

It’s the Euro Cup Football finale today. Italy against England. Why am I so excited about it? Poland didn’t make it to the final stage, which is not a surprise nor do I play football myself nor do I know much about it. The only thing I know about football is that it’s a game with two goals that is played by 22 players for 90 minutes and in the end the Germans always win… unfortunately not this time. However, the Euro or World Cup is always a good opportunity for socialising.

Manage Time

I don’t have time to…  do something, read a book, go to the gym, travel etc.  Not having time is the most common excuse if we don’t want to or can’t do something. Bullshit, there is always time and if you don’t have time, find it. I’m not a fan of wasting time, procrastination or pushing stuff forever. Can share with you some tips and tricks on how to manage time 😉

Visit and get visited

One of the incredible experiences you can get out of travel is meeting new people, sometimes even in weird circumstances. This is how I met Alice and Francesco. In Sintra while getting a ride from Pena Palace to downtown Sintra. We chatted a bit, exchanged phone numbers and they visited me in Krakow last weekend. I also had a couple of occasions when I was the visiting part. Visit and get visited is actually a balance between give and take. When somebody hosts you make sure to return the favour as best as you can when you are hosting somebody.
